Holly Off Shoulder is knit top down. The neck is made with rib and folded over to create the off shoulder part of the sweater. After the rib part the stitches are divided for sleeves, front- and back piece, and the yoke is finished with raglan. The 4 “raglan stitches” which separates the parts of the yoke, is worked as purl stitches and creates a beautiful and discreet raglan line.

The body is knit straight downwards and finished with a rolling edge. The sleeves are knit downwards as well, but are finished with some width at the bottom. The sleeves are long and end in the middle of the back of the hand with a rolling edge as on the body. The sweater is assembly-free.

Measurements: Width: 70,5 (75) 80 (85) 92,5 (100) cm
Length: approx. 47 (48,5) 50 (51,5) 53 (53,5) cm measure mid back with the shoulder rib folded.
Sleeve length: approx. 48 (49) 50 (50) 50 (50) cm incl. rolling edge.

Size guide: Holly Off Shoulder is designed to have a tight fit in both body and sleeves and should have a negative ease of approx. 10-20 cm. Size XS (S) M (L) XL and (2XL) matches a chest measurement of approx. 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Take your measurements and estimate your size before you start knitting the sweater.

Gauge 19 stitches x 29 rows with stockinette stitch on needle 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm. Neck rib: approx. 25 stitches x 30 rows on needle 4,0 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested needles Circular needle 4,0 mm (80/100 cm), if you knit with magic loop and circular needle 4,5 mm. Alternatively you can use double pointed needles for the sleeves and a shorter circular needle for the neck.

Suggested yarn approx. 225-250 (250) 250 (250) 250-300 (300) g pure merino (Perlata d’Australia) from Lana Gatto (50 g = approx. 233 m) knitted together with approx. 100-125 (125) 125 (125) 125-150 (150) g Silk Mohair, e.g. Luxury Silk Mohair from Lana Gatto (25 g = 212 cm). Be aware that if you choose yarn less elastic than merino, the neck rib might be looser and wider.
