The Lapis Sweater is worked top down with stockinette stitch with neck, shoulders and ribbing with double ribbing. First the turtleneck is made, and then the stitches are divided into saddle shoulders, back- and front piece. These tree parts are put together at the end to create the body.

The body is worked in the round with stockinette stitch and is finished with a broad ribbing edge, which is bound off with Italian bind off. The sweater has straight sleeves without decreases in double ribbing, which is also bound off with Italian bind off. The sweater is assembly-free.

Lapis Sweater – a thick, soft and warm sweater for men

Sizes: S (M) L (XL) 2XL

Measurements of the sweater: Width: 98 (104) 110 (116) 122 cm. Length: 60 (62) 64 (67) 70 cm measured mid back without the turtleneck. Sleeve length: 41 (42) 43 (44) 44 cm.

Size guide: The Lapis Sweater should have a positive ease of approx. 3-10 cm and is designed to have a relatively tight fit. Size S (M) L (XL) and 2XL equals a chest measurement of about 90-95 (95-100) 100-107 (107-113) 113-119 cm. Measure the recipient of the sweater around the chest and consider the size before starting.

Gauge: 12 stitches x 17 rows with stockinette stitch on needle 8,0 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested needles: Circular needle 7,0 mm (80 cm or e.g., 40 cm for the neck) and circular needle 8,0 mm (80/100 cm and e.g., 40 cm for the sleeves). Alternatively, you can use double pointed needles for the neck and sleeves.

Suggested yarn: approx. 500 (550) 600 (650) 700 g Wish from Drops (50 g = 70 m).

Difficulty: Experienced beginner.
