The Siw Sweater Junior is knitted from the top down with a circular yoke, which is shaped by increases worked evenly over three rounds. The neckline is knitted in rib, folded over, and knitted together before continuing in stockinette stitch with a colorwork pattern across the yoke and body.

The sleeves are knitted straight down and finished with a ribbed edge.

The sweater is seamless.

Finished Measurements: Bust circumference: 60 (63.5) 67 (70.5) 74 (77.5) 77.5 (81) 85 (88) 92 cm. Length: 33 (35) 36 (39) 41 (43) 44 (46) 48 (50) 52 cm measured mid-back without neckline.

Size guide: The Siw Sweater Junior should have a positive ease of approximately 5-15 cm. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-12) 12-14 years correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (78) 82 cm. Measure the child and assess the size before starting to knit the sweater.

Gauge: 17 stitches x 21 rows in stockinette stitch on 5.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested needles: 5.5 mm circular needle (60/80 cm, and optionally double-pointed needles for sleeves). 4.5 mm circular needle for neck and ribbed edges.
