Siw Sweater is knit top-down with a circular yoke formed by increases made over 4 rounds evenly distributed. First, the neck is knit in ribbing, then continued in stockinette stitch with color pattern down the yoke and body. Finally, the sleeves are knit straight down and finished with ribbing. The sweater is seam-free.

Siw Sweater – a soft woolen sweater with a color pattern

Size: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL)

Measurements of the sweater: Width: 88 (96) 104 (112) 120 (128) cm. Length: 50 (51) 52 (53) 54 (55) cm measured at the center back without the turtleneck/neck. Sleeve length: approx. 44 (44) 44 (44) 49 (49) cm.

Size guide: Siw Sweater should have an ease of approx. 3-18 cm. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL and (2XL) correspond to bust measurements of approx. 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Measure yourself and assess your size before starting to knit the sweater.

Gauge: 15 stitches x 23 rows in stockinette stitch on 5.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.

Recommended needles: Circular needles 5.5 mm (60/80/100 cm and possibly 40 cm for the sleeves). Alternatively, double-pointed needles can be used for the sleeves. Circular needles 4.5 mm for the neck and ribbing.

Yarn suggestion:

Color A: approx. 100 (100-125) 150 (150-200) 200-250 (250) g Nutiden from Höner och Eir (100 g = approx. 300 m) knitted together with either approx. 25-50 (25-50) 50-75 (75) 75-100 (100-125) g Silk Mohair, e.g. Tilia from Filcolana (25 g = 210 m) or 25-50 (25-50) 50-75 (75) 75-100 (100-125) g Baby Alpaca from Smuksak (25 g = 200 m).

Color B: approx. 25 (50) 50 (50-75) 75 (100) g Nutiden together with either 25 (25) 25-50 (50) 50-75 (50-75) g silk mohair or equivalent baby alpaca.

The finished sweater in size M weighs a total of 275 g. Note that yarn consumption is slightly higher when knitting with the turtleneck.
