Measurement guide: To find the right size, measure the circumference of the hand at the knuckles. Sizes S (M) and L correspond to a hand circumference of approx. 17-18 (18-20) 20-22 cm. The mittens fit around the hand. If you have a wide short hand, you may knit size L, but finish as size M. This gives you a wide mitten that is slightly shorter than size L.

Gauge: 21 stitches x 27 rows in stockinette stitch on needle 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested needles: Circular needle 3,5 mm (80 cm for the twisted ribbing) and circular needle 4,5 mm (80/100 cm), if you use the magic loop technique. Alternatively, you can use double pointed needles of the same sizes. 4 double pointed needles size 4.5 mm for the thumb. Cable needle size 2,5-4 mm for the cables.

Suggested yarn: approx. 50 (65) 75 g pure wool, e.g. Pernilla from Filcolana (50 g = 175 m) worked with approx. 20 (25) 30 g Silk Mohair, e.g. Lana Grossa (25 g = 210 cm).
