Winter Tale Fingerless Mittens – soft mittens knitted in moss stitch
Size: One size
If you prefer slightly larger mittens, go up half a needle size. For smaller mittens, go down half a needle size.
Measurements: The mittens measure 22 cm in length and 9.5 cm in width at the widest point across the hand.
Gauge: 24 sts x 28 rows in Moss Stitch on 4.0 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4″.
Recommended needles: 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm circular needles (80 cm) for the magic loop method, and 4.0 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs), or DPNs in both sizes if preferred. Make sure you maintain gauge if switching to DPNs.
Suggested yarn: Alpakka Silke from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 200 m) held together with 25 gSilk Mohair from Isager (25 g = 212 m).
