Measurements: Base: 14 x 34 cm, height: 30 cm.
Size guide: The shopper’s measurements are accurate if you maintain the specified gauge. However, you can easily adjust the fabric lining if your gauge differs slightly. Make sure to measure your knitted bag before cutting the fabric to ensure a perfect fit.
Gauge: 18 stitches x 34 rows in slip stitch pattern on 6.0 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.
Suggested needles: Circular needle size 6.0 mm (80/100 cm), and optionally size 5.0 mm for the i-cord edge. You may also use a double-pointed needle (DPN) size 6.0 or 5.0 mm for the i-cord edge. It is recommended to use two circular needles for the first 3–4 cm when knitting in the round. Alternatively, use jumper needles for the base.
Suggested Yarn Approx. 400 g Donegal Tweed+ from Lang Yarns (50 g = 105 m). Knit with double strands.
Fabric Lining: Approx. 50 cm fabric (e.g., linen) and 50 cm interfacing (the stiffer the interfacing, the better the bag will hold its shape).
Shoulder straps: Two leather straps, each 75 cm long, with four pre-punched holes at each end.
Difficulty: Experienced beginner – intermediate.
